미국의 여러 Commission과 Association에서는 공증된 번역을 접수하지 아니하고 발송인에게 반송하면서 제출된 한국문서에 State-Certified Translator, Sworn Translator에 의한 Certified Translation을 첨부하여 다시 제출할 것을 요구 한다.

"번역행정사"는 대한민국 행정사법에 의한 유일한 정부인정 번역사(State-Certified Translator)이며 행정사법 제11조에 의하여 "번역확인증명서" (Certification)를 첨부한 "증명된 번역" (Certified Translation)을 만들어 드립니다.

다음에 미국 Commission/Association에 제출할 문서에 Certified Translation을 첨부하라는 INSTRUCTION을 참고로 기재한다.

This will acknowledge receipt of your November 8, 1988 letter and enclosed specimen of official translations prepared by your translation office which' you state' is in accordance with Korean LawThe type of translation you described and of which you enclosed a specimen would be acceptable to ECFMG for an official English translation of a Korean-language document.

National Association of Boards of Pharmacy

Upon reviewing your Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) file, it was determined that the English Translation of your family census register was not translated by a certified translator. The FPGEC requires that documents not in English be accompanied by an English translation, prepared and certified as correct by a government official, pharmacy school official, or state-certified translator.
The translation must be signed and dated by the person who prepares it, and must appear on official stationery. Your translator, Jeong Kim, presented no evidence of being a certified translator.I am returning the translation to you. You may want to ask translator Kim to provide proof of competence as a translator, or obtain certification of this translation by a certified translator. Once completed, please mail the document to the FPGEC at the address above.
